Sarah Safu Furrer was born in Switzerland, but spent the first six years of her life in sunny San Diego, California. Since returning to Switzerland, she’s been living in Lucerne, where she also graduated in Graphic Design. She discovered her artistic talent early on in her life: already as a three-year-old, Safu spent her days painting and drawing. Today, she expresses her passion and talent through illustrations, which often show impressive (female) characters drawn in sharp black lines and shades of grey, limiting colour to few details. Her work has an urban, contemporary and yet poetic spirit. She merges influences from music, various subcultures, street art and graffiti into a language of her own.
